Laurie Anne Land: March 2025 | We Bought an Oregon River Cabin!

Happy March! February flew by, and I can’t wait to share all the big updates— from a women entrepreneurs retreat in Cancun to the biggest news yet: we bought a river cabin in Oregon as our summer escape from the Phoenix heat!
From Cancun to Oregon: A Busy Month of Travel
We kicked off February with a week-long trip to Cancun for a work event with other women entrepreneurs. The event itself was so inspiring (I learned a ton!), but I may have gotten a little overexcited when I added three extra days to our trip. 😅 By the end, Taylor and I were more than ready to be home!
But we barely had time to unpack because…
We Bought a River Cabin in Oregon!
We’ve called Phoenix home for 10.5 years, but the summers are brutal. That’s why I created this desert-inspired art print collection to bring some of the Southwest’s beauty indoors when it's too hot to go out in it haha! We have been planning a big renovation for our Phoenix house (we even have permits ready!), but deep down, we knew no renovation could fix 115+ degree summers. 🥵
So, we made a big pivot.
Instead of renovating our Phoenix home, we decided to put that budget toward something we’ve always wanted —a little cabin in Oregon! 🌲🏡
This cabin will be our summer escape —a place to slow down, soak in nature, and finally avoid melting in the Arizona heat.
I may write a full blog post about the cabin & renovation plans later, but for now, you can follow along on @coastalrivercabin for cabin renovations, decor updates, and Oregon adventures!
What I'm Loving

Making memories – This little camera is too cute! I might have to grab one to keep at the cabin.
Not a Stanley Cup girl? Same. – I’ve been drinking out of these 24oz Ball Jars for 10 years and love them! They even make a Stanley-style version if that’s your thing.
Garden dreams 🌱 – The queen of gardening has a new book coming out this month, and you bet I’m pre-ordering! Check it out here .
Packing made easy – I’ve raved about these travel bags on IG multiple times because they are life-changing for travel.
Actually comfy air mattresses? Yes. – We shipped these air mattresses to Oregon for "camping" in the cabin, and they are so comfy + easy to set up. Worth the hype!
Perfect lightweight camping chairs – We used these chairs all week at the cabin, and they’ll be perfect for beach days & sitting by the river!
Goodbye, AirPods 👋 – I never wear AirPods because they hurt my ears (even the Pros!), but Taylor always has… until now. He tried my favorite earbuds on our trip and officially ditched his AirPod Pros . Welcome to the comfy earbud club.
Dystopian but hopeful? – I read "Wool" (the book behind Apple TV’s SILO series), and wow—it really made me feel claustrophobic at first. But by the end, I loved it. The author’s note especially stuck with me —a hopeful reminder in a world that can feel heavy sometimes.
A wild, entertaining read – I also read "The Lion’s Den" , which was so good but also kind of stressful?! 😂 Definitely an entertaining, fast-paced read about a group of friends on a one of their billionaire boyfriends yacht.
