About Laurie Anne
Laurie Anne discovered her love for creating art when she was only 14 years old, after she found herself lost in her own little world, painting her heart out with art supplies that were supposed to be her Dad’s birthday present (sorry, Dad!).
Laurie Anne’s main focus is on painting and drawing but she enjoys creating a little bit of everything from making pottery to designing textiles. When she isn’t working away in her kitchen studio or teaching art classes on Skillshare, you will find her curled up with her pup, Hazel, most likely watching LOST (she’s obsessed…she’s watched the entire series 4 times) or reading a good book. She is a candy connoisseur (Japanese candy is her current fave), and loves to travel as much as she can.
She was raised in Alabama and had the privilege of studying art at Auburn University (War Eagle!) and Florence University of the Arts in Italy but now calls Phoenix, Arizona home with her husband, Taylor and pup, Hazel. Now that she lives in the southwest, she is determined to never lose her southern accent and also bring awareness to double names.
